Sophea Cottage forms part of The Sending Street Collection of four cottages within walking distance of one another in Sending street. See more at the bottom of this page.

Sophea cottage is part of a 100-year old barn that was lovingly restored. Tucked away in a huge, mature garden, guests have their own entrance from the street and private outdoor sitting area.

The cottage has been furnished and decorated with sensitivity to its grand old age. Antique pieces are complemented by original art and understated finishes. This is a place to unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet of a time gone by, when life happened at a slower pace.
The restful bedroom has queen-size bed with crisp linen and an antique cupboard. A mattress on the floor in the lounge can be provided for two children.
The bathroom has a huge old Victorian bath.
A two-plate stove and bar fridge provide the means to prepare your own meals, should you prefer not to go out at one of the Riebeek Valley's many excellent restaurants.


Relax outdoors in the wonderfully wild garden with rural views of a windmill and orchard with magnificent Kasteelberg in the background, using the four-seater table and braai facilty.

Rates: R600-00 per night for 2 people staying one night only. R500-00 per night if booking 2 or more nights. R100-00 extra if the mattress is required.
50% deposit confirms; payable within 7 days from date of making the booking.
Gentle dogs allowed by prior arrangement.

The Sending Street Collection consists of four self-catering cottages in Sending street, all within walking distance of one another and in close proximity to Groenrivier Wedding and Funcion Venue. Together the cottages sleep 8 - 12 people in total.

Bijou I & II Self-catering Cottages are one block away within easy walking distance. These two cottages are are open plan with queen size beds.
